Our pure essentials oils come in a highly concentrated strength that must be diluted properly. Most dilution rates should be 3% or less. We recommend using in a diffuser. But will share other places you can use them.

Our Story

Our Story

Sista-san is a lifestyle brand founded by the mother and daughter team, Shirley Mihoko Hairston and Tamiko Hunter. We are proud to be descendants of Mihoko Hayashi, a Hiroshima Atomic bomb survivor, and Charles Drake, an African American paratrooper that served in the Korean War. The name Sista-san pays homage to our African American and Japanese heritage. Our brand celebrates the sistahood that exists between women of all cultures, and we include the term san to show honor and respect.

The mother and daughter duo are avid users of essential oils and wanted to share their love of wellness with others. Creating the namesake wellness collection Sista-san with 5 custom blended oils that support everyday wellness.

Sista-san also offers t-shirts that represent multiculturalism, and Shirley's book the Silk Box, A Love Story. Her upcoming book Sista-san will be available in Spring 2022.
